Heather started Inky Jane Studios in 2009 to house her various artistic explorations. She has shown at galleries, festivals, and stores around the Midwest, focusing on projects as diverse as photography, assemblage, collage, and painting. Throughout it all she has maintained a constant antiquarian thread, inspired by objects, people, and stories of the past.
Heather has a B.A. in Design and a Certificate of Design Psychology and has studied art history throughout Europe with an intensive at the Tate in London. She has taught art techniques and art history at the preschool, elementary, and college level.
A century-old farmhouse on the border of Minneapolis serves as her home and studios (both art and music). In addition to creating, she has been curating and organizing art festivals and gallery shows. She is the Founder and Director of the Minnesota Artists Guild.
